Over on Fifth Ave in NYC, at Cornelia Day Spa, therapist Jim Buonato lead me through the 'European' tiled hallways to soak in a muscle-relaxing bath infused with essential oils and therapeutic bath salts. I was given an exhilarating body exfoliation to detoxify and prepare me for the warm envelopment of a nutrient rich European Mud. The sensation was heat and cold at the same time, like hot peppermint tea mixed with sherbet - strangely delightful. After a toning cream, I went for short steam and could see how my arm and legs had a more firmed appearance.

On the west coast, Carol Paul, my therapist at Two Bunch Palms, Desert Hot Springs, California started my Native American Treatment with prayers - a mix of words and elements of air, earth, fire and water
