The signature Great Lakes Stone Massage combined the best in massage therapy, while utilizing stones that were culled and hand-selected by spa staff from the shores of the Great Lakes; very relaxing and soothing.
The pool is designed for shallow swimming; but, for an exhilarating and relaxing experience, guests can stand under its waterfall, or sit on a limestone bench and let the healing force of water pummel them into a state of sublime relaxation.
The most impressive part of the spa is its relaxation co-ed pool. Here is where the art and technology of Kohler excels, by combining the best in form with the healing properties of water. The pool is nearly twelve feet wide by thirty-six feet long, complete with an eight-foot waterfall, and depth range between three and one-half, to four feet. The pool is designed for shallow swimming; but, for an exhilarating and relaxing experience, guests can stand under its waterfall, or sit on a limestone bench and let the healing force of water pummel them into a state of sublime relaxation.

The pool area is flanked by chaise lounges, where guests can meditate and relax, listening to the rhythms of falling water, while looking up at a beautiful sky-themed mural. The pool definitely adds a calming and soothing ambience to the overall experience. Beyond the pool area are several intimate relaxation/waiting stations and all of the treatment rooms. These include the “Twogether” (for duo treatments); the multi-purpose rooms (for facials, massage, and body work); and, their signature treatment rooms. Although all rooms are beautiful and generously sized, the four individual signature treatment rooms are extraordinary.
These specialty rooms are where the Riverbath, the sõk Bath, Renaissance Bath, and the Still Waters are administered. The Riverbath is an excursion into the multi-sensory; here stones, bamboo, fire, shower and whirlpool are integral to the treatment process, which includes being soaked, massaged, scrubbed and moisturized. The sõk Bath combines color and light therapy, an infinity bath, cascading waterfalls, and Vichy shower. The Renaissance Bath is a “luxuriant soak” in an opulent copper tub, filled with a petal-strewn milk bath; the spa’s signature Hollyhock lotion is applied to the body afterwards.

The Still Waters starts off with a lime-salt exfoliation, then a warm Vichy shower, a soothing body moisturization, culminating with being wrapped and quietly lying in a soft water floatation bed for the ultimate in respite and relaxation. Another signature water treatment, the Tsunami, said to be powerful and exhilarating, combines the force of water with the touch of exfoliation and massage.

I experienced a few signature treatments that included the new Citrus Pine Sensation; the body is delicately touched with indigenous soft pine branches, to stimulate and invigorate; then, a full-body citrus sugar glow, shampoo and conditioning head massage was followed by an invigorating Vichy shower, with its impressive pulsating massage action; the signature Hollyhock lotion was then applied to the entire body; this exceptional experience combined cool, warmth, massage and aromatherapy; stimulating and revitalizing.

The signature Great Lakes Stone Massage combined the best in massage therapy, while utilizing stones that were culled and hand-selected by spa staff from the shores of the Great Lakes; very relaxing and soothing. The signature Kohler Waters Facial included a customized facial, a back exfoliation and hand “facial”; the intermittent massage techniques and aromatherapy-based products used throughout this treatment, made for a relaxing and restorative treatment, ending much too soon.

The spa’s comprehensive menu also includes extensive hydrotherapy, aromatherapy, facial, massage, reflexology, and bodywork (wraps and salt or sugar scrubs) treatments; the specialty massages, which focus on golfing and pregnancy, and are quite popular. The spa also offers several packages, including bridal party experiences, but can also customize packages for individuals, or any sized groups.
