offers spa-goers restoration through relaxation
Page: 1 2 3
Besides people coming to the “Don” to get some rest and relaxation, many come for weddings and business functions. The main resort has over two hundred rooms, and for those who want to stay for extended periods of time, a quick shuttle drive away are the “Don’s” seventy residency units. The “Don” has a great deal to offer its guests in the form of outdoor activities (golf, jet skiing, sailing, para-sailing, swimming, snorkeling, fishing, etc.); there are separate programs for children and teens, and the resort’s unique boutiques, make the resort shopping another great guest activity. The resort’s food fare is excellent, with eating establishments like the Maritana Grille, which offers the finest in eclectic and creative cuisine, thanks to Executive Chef Eric Neri; his Chef’s Table is another “must do” for the guest; it’s no wonder why this restaurant has been distinguished with AAA’s Four Diamond award, and recognized by the Zagat Survey as “extraordinary”; other restaurant options, including patio or beachside, with its local and Mediterranean inspired cuisine; and, don’t miss the resort’s “infamous” Sunday brunch; the number of choices is mind-boggling. And, for the guest who has a penchant for exploring, both St. Petersburg and Tampa are in close proximity to the resort (Orlando is a wee-bit further).

The “Don” is exciting, exhilarating and enchanting. And for kids of all ages, and whether you want to stay a day or two, get married, have a meeting or conference, do the spa thing, play on land and sea, or kick back, relax and enjoy, this resort has it all, and then some. The “Don” is also a reminder that there are more important things in life than fretting and being frenetic! Consider this: there’s nothing more delightful than to be sailing on the “Gulf” and watching the magnificent sun set, while casting its approving glow on this grand old “Pink Lady”.
