Overview
With the relaxed sophistication of a European hotel and a California-chic setting, Park Hyatt Los Angeles is more alluring than ever following a recent $20 million renovation that sets new standards of luxury. Catering to the well traveled guest seeking the welcoming comfort, personalized service in a refined atmosphere, Park Hyatt Los Angeles is one of Los Angeles' most elegant leisure and business travel destinations. Dramatic 17th century sandstone griffins from a French chateau mark the entrance to the hotel's glass-enclosed atrium lobby, which is done in caramel, taupe, gold, and mocha hues. The warm, sophisticated lobby is an intersection for guests who include not only movie producers and celebrities but world leaders, heads of industry, and the Who's Who of international society. The hotel's glamorous location was once the back lot of Twentieth Century Fox Studios, so naturally Park Hyatt Los Angeles continues to be an important location for television and movies as well as a favorite with studio executives and location scouts who frequent the Park Grill Lounge.

Park Hyatt Los Angeles is ideally situated in the prestigious Century City area on the famed Avenue of the Stars. The hotel is 15 minutes by car from Venice and Santa Monica beaches, a five minute drive from Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, and walking distance from Century City Shopping Center.

The Park Grill
A global destination gateway, Park Hyatt Los Angeles offers the Park Grill, a stand-alone specialty restaurant delivering "world cuisine." Under the direction of Executive Chef Roberto Alicea, guests can take a culinary tour of Tuscany, Provence and California's Napa Valley without leaving the comfort and sophistication of the hotel and its scenic views of the Pacific Ocean. The Park Grill offers a unique dining experience fusing California's bountiful organic ingredients with the exotic flavors and cooking traditions of the world.

Park Hyatt Los Angeles: Where Movies Are Tradition
The Park Hyatt Los Angeles has a history of filmmaking that precedes the hotel. Before there was a Park Hyatt Los Angeles, the land where the hotel stands was 20th Century Fox Studio's back lot. As early as the 1920's, cameras were rolling, turning out Academy Award winners from 1927's "Seventh Heaven" to 1940's "Grapes of Wrath" to 1970's "M*A*S*H".

The tradition continued into the 1980's as the Park Hyatt hotel was built in 1988. Perhaps there's a magical ingredient in the soil that demands lights, cameras, and action. The Park Hyatt Los Angeles hotel is a premier location for feature films, television, commercials, and a number of entertainment industry-related events. The hotel's proximity to major production companies makes it an ideal location for press conferences, press junkets, and corporate strategy sessions. The 17-story Park Hyatt Los Angeles has met the diverse needs of many feature films and television. "Lethal Weapon 2", "Pacific Heights", "Point of No Return", "Die Hard", "Robocop 2", Turner Classic Movies "Profiles", A&E Biographies, and "LA Law" are just a few that took advantage of our unique architecture, parking lot, pool, health club, and rooms.
