just minutes from the strip

Just 20 minutes away from the hustle and bustle of the Las Vegas Strip, the JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort, Spa and Golf offers guests a lush resort setting with Mediterranean architecture, a luxurious spa, world-class golf and all the pampering services and amenities that have become synonymous with the JW Marriott name. The elegant resort, which is located in the master-planned Summerlin community just several miles northwest of The Strip and less than 20 minutes from McCarran International Airport, first opened its doors on July 15, 1999 and became a J.W. Marriott property in December of 2002.

"What is unique about the JW Marriott is that it is a spectacular golf and spa resort, providing all that Las Vegas has to offer, without the distractions of the Strip," says General Manager Jim Rose. "The resort is on 54 acres nestled among beautiful gardens and pools, with championship golf just minutes away. We also feature a 40,000-square-foot state-of-the-art spa and fitness center. Meeting planners enjoy the first-class meeting and conference facilities and easy access to recreation and leisure options. Also, there's an elegant casino and many dining and entertainment options right on site."

Two six-story towers – the Spa Tower and the Palms Tower – feature 540 guest rooms and suites offering stunning views of the resort's manicured gardens, Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area or the glittering Strip. While its secluded location appeals to guests who want to be close to hustle and bustle of Las Vegas – but not that close – it also offers a welcome respite for those who just want to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Nevada desert.

Spacious and well-appointed guestrooms measure 560 square feet and feature such alluring amenities as whirlpool bathtubs and separate showers with brass raindrop showerheads, plush terry bathrobes and oversized towels, triple-sheeting, dual-line telephones for modem or fax at the desk and bed, personalized voicemail, e-mail and guest services via the television, refrigerators, coffeemakers and personal safes. The oversized bathrooms are beautifully appointed in marble with upgraded fixtures. Each room also has a walk in closet. The resort's elegant suites run up to 2,340 square feet in size.

In addition to the accommodations, the property boasts 54 acres with immaculately landscaped gardens and more than 3,500 trees. An 11,000-square-foot grass-edged pool with a cascading tropical waterfall and four 25-yard swimming lanes is the ultimate oasis for guests who wish to lounge poolside and enjoy a good book or soak up the desert sun. Private poolside cabanas provide a relaxing retreat to enjoy a light lunch from the Waterside Grill or sip tropical libations. There are also two 250-squarefoot spa pools with handicap lifts.

After a day of relaxing by the pool, being pampered in the spa or playing a round of golf, there's much to do at the JW Marriott after the sun sets. Nine restaurants provide a variety of dining options that run the gamut from a quick, casual meal to an elegant dining experience.

After dinner, guests can retire to Gustav Mauler's Gourmet Tobaccos & Lounge to enjoy a vintage port, nightcap or perhaps even a hand-rolled cigar. Don't forget Addison's Lounge featuring live local bands or Round Bar, an intimate piano bar.

And, of course, no Las Vegas resort would be complete without a casino. The JW Marriott features 50,000 square feet of gaming space, with slots, tables and two salons privés for visitors to try their luck.

There's also The Sports and Race Betting Club where guests can bet on their favorite sport or race while enjoying a beverage of choice.

With a total of 65,734 square feet of meeting and conference space, the JW Marriott hosts a large number of incentive groups, association meetings and corporate groups.

Indeed, the resort can easily accommodate up to 4,000 guests for events and banquets.

And, the helpful staff is on hand to assist with scheduling and technical support.
